The results are in for the October writing contest! The Writing Club would like to thank all of the participants; this was a tough decision. 

The results are as follows:

the Scariest Story goes to Cate Rosenbaum,

the Most Mysterious Story goes to Miranda Weber, and 

the Most Creative Story goes to Gratia O'Rafferty.

Prizes will be awarded during your English class today.

Also a HUGE thank you to all of the judges!

Congratulations to both the A and B volleyball teams for beating Lincoln yesterday. Both teams demonstrated great skill, intensity, and sportsmanship throughout the games and have secured spots in the playoffs. Come support the team in their final regular season games next week Wednesday at Wood and Thursday here at AoA, and then stay tuned for info about playoffs!  

If you are interested in signing up for intramural basketball sign ups are in the first quad.

We will be having a teacher vs student flag football game today at lunch! Congratulations to Team Ballerz for winning the championship!

Lockers and planters are not trash recycle or compost bins do not put your trash or food in those places. Please take them to the proper receptacles in the first  quad and cafeteria.

Makeup and Retake Pictures are happening today during Tutorial and Lunch.

Makeup Picture Day is tomorrow! Students who did not take a school picture will be called out during Tutorial to take their picture in the Gym. If you already took a picture but would like a retake, you may do so during lunch, you must bring your purchased picture package and return it at the time of retakes.

Do you play Magic the gathering? Come to room 215 at lunch today for a Magic League meeting with Mr Peterson!

Congratulations to the A volleyball team for beating Lincoln in yesterday game. All players showed excellent skill, teamwork and integrity, beating Lincoln for the first time in over two years. The two teams are now tied for first in the league and will play one more time on 10/28 here at the Academy

The B team has a game today against Bay Farm at 4pm. Due to the B team game, A team practice has been cancelled.

Poetry Writing Club:  Please see Ms. Famiano today to pick up your field trip packet. Also, we will be meeting on Thursday at lunch to answer questions about the field trip and do an activity.

Makeup Picture Day is this Thursday. If you would like to retake your school picture you must bring your purchased package and return it at the time of retakes.

There is a Volleyball A team away game at Lincoln at 5pm. All A team volleyball players must change for the game and meet in the gym at 3:45. We will have a brief warm-up in the AoA gym before driving over to Lincoln at 4:15.

The Poetry Writing Club will be meeting today to discuss a writing field trip. Anyone who is interested, should meet in room 224 during lunch today

Game club will have their first meeting today during lunch in room 213! Please bring your lunch and join us at lunch in room 213! Games, puzzles, and cards will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own games as well. Feel free to come alone or bring your friends. There is still space in the club! 

We will also be pulling a winner from the PTA member raffle. A big thank you to all the parents who signed up for PTA the winner of the ipad is the student of  Hiroko Cooper. Congratulations to Marina Donovan! 

We will not be having an assembly today, so enjoy the rest of your tutorial period!
