Since we will be staying in our advisories today I thought I bring in a little assemblyness into this mornings announcements

Boys basketball tryouts are today for 8^th graders. Tryouts will start promptly at 3:40. All players attending tryouts must be registered with AEF. Online registration for basketball closes at 5pm today. Any player who still has a paper form must turn it in to Ms. Perkins by lunch time today in order to be registered. Again paper forms must be turned in to Ms Perkins by LUNCH!!! Not afterschool by LUNCH. You MUST be registered to be added to the final team roster.

Boys basketball tryouts today for 7^th graders.  8^th grade will be tomorrow. Tryouts will start promptly at 3:40. All players attending tryouts must be registered with AEF. See Ms. Perkins if you need information on how to register. Boys you MUST register, only registered players can be added to the final team roster.

In addition, there will be a mandatory meeting for all boys trying out for basketball who currently have a D or F in any class. You must attend the meeting today at lunch in Ms. Perkins room in order to be eligible to try out.

There has been a slight change for the Girls A team basketball practice. Meet on the blacktop for practice from 4:30-5:30pm.

If you would like to participate in our lunchtime intramural basketball season sign ups are in the first quad.

There is Ultimate Frisbee practice today after school from 3:30 until 4:30pm, meet on the blacktop.  You may only attend if you have turned in your permission slip.

The middle school skate night at south shore skate rink is happening tonight! AoA families will get a discount between the hours of 6-8pm!

And we would like send a very special Happy Birthday shout to Mr Peterson!

Are you cold? Do you think you lost a jacket? Check the lost and found! It is overflowing with lost articles of clothing that belong to you all. If these items are not claimed they will be donated.

Here at the Academy we strive to provide you with a nutritious and delicious lunch and breakfast. We are finding that many students are going throughout the day without getting the proper nutrition needed to stay focused.  You can bring your lunch from home or you can eat the lovely lunches provided by Ms Indiah and the rest of the lunch ladies.

No ice cream sale today after school!

Are you cold? Do you think you lost a jacket? Check the lost and found! It is overflowing with lost articles of clothing that belong to you all. If these items are not claimed they will be donated.

It has come to our attention that we need to remind students about bike safety! A few things:

• Wear your helmet
• Very simple do it!
• Walking across crosswalks
• Do not be lazy you need to get off of your bikes and walk across the crosswalk
• Follow all traffic signs
• The stop signs are for cars AND for bikes so stop
• Be courteous and cautious of cars
• They are bigger than you and potentially dangerous be careful
• But it does not mean you can ride in the middle of the road and take advantage

Boy's basketball team tryouts will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week starting on 1/13 at 3:40 pm. The 6th grade tryout will be on Monday 1/13, 7th grade on Tuesday 1/14, and 8th grade on Wednesday 1/15.
