Students please make sure that your cell phones are off and put away.

It is now time for our dress code check. Students please remove your outer wear so that your teacher can check that you are in dress code.

Teachers please send down any students who are not in dress code.

8th graders

If you would like to sign up  to attend the Washington D.C. trip in May, you must contact Sherice Youngblood by email by today at 6pm. Also, this is a reminder that the Close-up class scheduled for tonight has been canceled and will be re-scheduled. If you have any questions come see the office.

GOLD

GOLD students, don't forget to turn in your permission slip for the Fridays field trip. If you do not go on the the trip, there is no GOLD. See Ms. Kanitha or your GOLD instructor if you have any questions. 

6th graders

6th graders field trip permission slips are due today. 

Walk n Roll

This Wednesday AoA will celebrate International Walk and Roll to School Day. This is a great opportunity to celebrate our health, the environment, and our school spirit.  

Walk, bike ride, take the AC Transit bus or carpool with neighbors and friends. Oakland students can take a free Estuary Crossing Shuttle from Lake Merritt BART to Webster St. in Alameda.  Drivers drop off a block or two away and let kids walk if you can't do any of the above.

Allow plenty of time for getting to school on time and enjoying the morning festivities.
There will be morning music, bicycle blended smoothies, breakfast snacks, giveaways and a bike pump available.

Friday
This Friday is a half day and students will be dismissed at 12:30

Make-up Pictures
Today is make up picture day if you did not get your picture taken before school we will be calling you down during 3rd and 4th to take your pictures. If you need to re-take your picture you can do so at lunch.
